The may not appear to have a bunch of open salary cap space. Apparently, they believe they can make some, because they've got at least one eye on Trey Hendrickson in free agency. Hendrickson is the free agent pa s rusher from the , and he's coming off a bumpy 2025 with contract and injury troubles. Before that, though, he was one of the league's best players. He had 17.5 sacks in 2023, then another 17.5 sacks in 2024. Now, he's waiting for movement in his free agent pursuits, and apparently the Bills have thrown their hat into the ring. reports, "Per source, the #Bills have reached Curtis Joseph Jersey out on pa s-rusher Trey Hendrickson. Plenty of other teams in the mix as well." MORE: Buffalo could use an upgrade to the pa s rush, particularly if Joey Bosa signs elsewhere in free agency. But Hendrickson would be more than any Bills fan would've dare imagine. The pa s rush market has been pricey so far. On Monday, the and Jaelan Phillips agreed to a four-year deal worth $120 million, and the reached an agreement with Odafe Oweh for four years and $100 million. The implication of Hendrickson hanging around on the open market is that maybe he won't get that much, but that he's holding out to get the biggest payday he can get. Hendrickson isn't a good run defender, but he can get after the QB, and that still has plenty of value. It certainly makes sense for the Bills to check in.
